Snickerdoodles

 I don't think I've ever met a cookie that I didn't like, but this one hits my top 10 favorites.
 Snickerdoodles
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add the eggs and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients.
Roll into balls, and roll in cinnamon sugar.
Place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes - they will puff up, pop and flatten out while baking.
